How it works

A clear process.
A personal approach.

You bring your housing goals. We help you understand potential options and the next steps toward a placement.

01

Start with your intake

Complete the client intake form with your contact information, preferred housing arrangement, budget, location, and support needs.

Have ready

Proof of verifiable income or documentation of a confirmed funding source—for example, recent pay stubs, a benefits award letter, or written funding confirmation. Also have your desired move-in timeframe and important housing or daily living details ready.

02

Talk through the details

We review your information and follow up to clarify what you need, what you prefer, and which options may be appropriate.

A conversation that matters

Let us know about room preferences, mobility, daily living support, program requirements, and any professional helping with your search.

03

Explore available options

We contact relevant operators about potential openings and share information that helps you consider a home, including costs and requirements when available.

You stay involved

Ask about rent, move-in fees, house rules, services, and what living in the home would look like. Tours and operator conversations depend on the home.

04

Confirm the next step

If you choose an option and the operator accepts you, the home confirms the move-in details and its required paperwork.

Before you move

Review the operator’s agreement and house rules. Confirm payment arrangements, your move-in date, and what you should bring.

What an intake means

An intake starts the review process. It does not reserve housing or guarantee placement. Operators make their own admission decisions, and openings can change.

Before you begin

A few helpful answers.

Is your placement service free?

Yes. Kindred Pathways does not charge clients for placement and referral assistance. Residents are responsible for rent, deposits, move-in fees, and any other costs charged by the home or program.

Do I need income or a funding source?

For housing that requires payment, you will need verifiable income or a confirmed funding source that meets the home’s requirements. Share your budget and funding situation during intake so we can explore appropriate options.

Can I request a private room?

Yes. Tell us whether you prefer a shared or private room. Room type, rates, and availability vary by home.

Is placement guaranteed?

Placement depends on available openings, your needs and budget, and each operator’s admission requirements. Completing an intake form starts the review process; it does not reserve a room or guarantee placement.
